
Institute for Information Technology (III) was established in 1979 as a non-governmental organization, jointly sponsored by the Taiwan government and prominent private enterprises, with the goal of strengthening the development of the information industry in Taiwan.
III emphasizes on a cross–disciplinary environment, university–industry collaborations and techno–cultural co-development. Since its inception, III has been a source of vision, innovation, technological excellence and a major factor in Taiwan's development into a significant player in the global ‘Information and Communication Technology arena. |
